Ferrari adopts cryptocurrencies as payment option

Ferrari has started to offer its dealer network the possibility to add cryptocurrencies to the forms of payment accepted for the purchase of its cars.

The Prancing Horse, aware of the growing demand from clients for alternative payment solutions, is supporting its dealers by providing them with a specific platform. It was created by leading companies in the field, which are responsible for controls, compliance procedures and risk assessment. 

Ferrari clients have thus the opportunity to buy our cars through the new platform, while Ferrari receives the sale amount in traditional currencies without directly managing cryptocurrencies. Thanks to a payment system that ensures transactions are fully secure, the source of the digital currencies is verified and the volatility risks associated with exchange rates is eliminated. 

The project is first being implemented in the United States; digital currencies will then be progressively adopted – in the countries where they are authorised – by the international network of Ferrari dealers participating in the program.
